Usama Shafiq

At Shafiq Medical Complex, I oversee the integration of research methodologies with quality management practices to support healthcare innovation. My work includes research in medical imaging and diabetic retinopathy analysis.

I develop and validate AI-driven solutions for diagnostic imaging, and design quality assurance frameworks for R&D processes aligned with healthcare standards.

As a PhD scholar in Computer Science at HITEC University, I focus on computer vision and deep learning for medical imaging and cancer analysis. I’ve explored Vision Transformer and self-attention-based models for medical data analysis.

My research has included breast cancer, brain tumor, and gall bladder datasets, with work published in peer-reviewed journals and conferences and additional papers under review. I use Python, MATLAB, and Google Colab to implement AI-driven solutions, and I’m open to research collaborations, consulting opportunities, and academic networking.
