UNWANA JOSEPH
@unwanajoseph
First-class lawyer focused on commercial litigation, contract review, and regulatory compliance.
What I'm looking for
I’m a First Class graduate of the Nigerian Law School with hands-on experience spanning commercial litigation, contract review, legal drafting, and corporate advisory. I combine careful legal research under statutes and case law with precise preparation of court processes to support effective dispute resolution.
In my current role as an Associate at Roothe-Kharis & Partners, I conduct legal research and prepare written analyses across litigation, regulatory, and corporate advisory matters. I draft court processes, demand letters, legal opinions, and commercial contracts, and I support litigation strategy and client representation during court proceedings.
During my NYSC Associate placement at Jurislaw Associates, I handled extensive research on statutes, judicial authorities, and regulatory frameworks for active litigation and advisory work. I drafted motions and other court processes, reviewed commercial agreements for legal risks, recommended protective measures, and contributed to litigation strategy preparation while maintaining well-organised case files.
My externships further strengthened my practical foundations, including support with conveyancing documents, client correspondence, and filing court processes at the Federal High Court. I’m keenly interested in corporate and commercial law, litigation and dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance—work where strong legal writing, attention to detail, and dependable case management make a measurable difference.
