Thomas Moore
@thomasmoore2024
I build practical GIS solutions for geospatial and environmental data.
What I'm looking for
I'm working as a Geographic Information Systems Technician at KCI, applying my geospatial background to practical mapping and data work.
I've built a foundation in geological and earth sciences through a BA from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, alongside minors in Environmental Studies and Geospatial Technologies. I'm also pursuing a Graduate Certificate in GIS at NC State Center for Geospatial Analytics, with training in GIS, remote sensing, spatial analysis, modeling, visualization, and geospatial programming.
At UNCW Randall Library, I receive, label, organize, and distribute state and federal documents, create large deselection lists in Excel, and support cataloging of local historical materials for preservation.
My earlier work at UNCW Marine Science Center gave me hands-on experience with oyster containment systems, habitat checks, algae-farm equipment, and laboratory processes.
