Tanishka Ojha

I’m a second-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Microbiology student with strong academic credentials and early exposure to scientific review writing. I’m driven by microbiology, biotechnology, disease biology, and applied research, and I enjoy careful documentation and learning through hands-on work.

In my independent research, I developed vegan leather from mushroom mycelium using sustainable biomaterial methods. I cultivated mushroom species through substrate preparation, inoculation, and controlled growth conditions, then documented procedures, growth outcomes, and material characteristics with structured scientific writing.

I also authored a scientific review on gut microbiota-related biomarkers for early detection of neurodegenerative disease, synthesizing current literature into organized academic writing for a student research platform. Alongside this, I completed an applied exposure internship as a TV Monitoring Intern, where I recorded and updated data with attention to detail—skills I want to bring into laboratory, research, healthcare, biotech, or sustainability-linked internship settings.
