@tanishasikder
Aspiring software engineer with a passion for teaching and technology.
What I'm looking for
I'm a dedicated software engineering student at Miami University, set to graduate in 2026. My academic journey has been enriched by coursework in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and web application programming. I thrive on challenges and have a strong foundation in algorithms and systems programming, which I apply in both my studies and practical projects.
As the founder and tutor of Free Compsci Tutoring, I created an online platform to provide free computer science tutoring to beginners. This role has honed my technical skills in Python and Java while enhancing my ability to communicate complex concepts effectively. Additionally, my experience as a Software Beta Tester at CompSciLib allowed me to contribute to product improvements by identifying bugs and providing valuable feedback on educational modules.
My projects, including an insurance cost prediction model and a handwriting classifier using PyTorch, showcase my ability to apply machine learning techniques to real-world problems. I am also actively involved in Girls Who Code, where I empower young women to explore careers in technology.
