Steven Knox
@stevenknox
I test application behavior, reproduce defects, and build practical QA skills with JavaScript, Python, and Playwright.
What I'm looking for
I'm building hands-on QA capability through Lemon Glass, a personal finance application where I test transactions, recurring payments, budgets, account switching, persistence, and reset behavior.
I identified six concrete defects, including duplicate recurring transactions, savings and reserve divergence, orphaned reserves, negative amounts, and an inactive Fresh Start control. My findings included reproducible scenarios and numerical comparisons, such as tracing an extra €500 salary entry that inflated the bank balance.
My earlier work in network administration and computer systems troubleshooting built a foundation in diagnosing hardware, software, networking, and code-related failures. I'm now progressing toward independent end-to-end automation through JavaScript, Python, Node.js, Electron, and a Playwright portfolio demonstration.
