What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can design and support ELD/ESL instruction, coach teachers, and use language-proficiency data to drive measurable growth for multilingual learners in a collaborative, standards-aligned environment.

I bring a strong foundation in English education and teacher preparation, including a BA in English Education (Cum Laude), Missouri Teaching Licenses for 9-12 English and 6-8 English Language Arts, and a Masters in TESOL. I’m also LETRS Certified, which reinforces how I support language and literacy development.

As an English Language Learning Specialist at KCIA in Kansas City, Missouri (July 2020–July 2025), I taught English as a second and foreign language to 6-8 students. I modeled communication skills and adapted content materials to scaffold language fluency, while using student language-proficiency data to guide instructional decisions.

Since July 2019, I’ve been a Language Teacher for the JET Programme USA in Hagi, Yamaguchi, teaching K-9 students. I strengthen listening and vocabulary through songs, stories, and picture books, and I use games to practice and scaffold language fluency—always with clear modeling of gestures, repetition, and diction.

Most recently, as an ELD Facilitator for the Grandview C4 School District (August 2025–November 2025), I designed and implemented ELD curriculum supports aligned to state standards across multiple schools. I provided professional development to teachers on scaffolding, differentiation, and language acquisition support, analyzed ACCESS and formative assessments to monitor growth, and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with state and federal ESL/ELD requirements.
