What I'm looking for
Skyler Thornton (Any/All pronouns) is a Haitian-American creative, community organizer, Peer Support Specialist, and Community Engagement Coordinator. Getting involved with Florida-based community organizations like Community Spring, Unspoken Treasures, Children's Home Society of Florida, and the Florida Access Network, they’ve managed to create educational and artistic media around policy change and access. They have also helped create the Gainesville-oriented Black affinity group “The Black Organizers and Artist Collective” (The BOA Collective) to celebrate Black solidarity and collaborate with other black businesses and community members. Skyler is excited to partner with fellow organizers and creatives to envision and build a better future for the communities they love.
