Sherri Sutton
@sherrisutton
International theatre director and educator, shaping actor training and devised, ensemble-led performance.
What I'm looking for
I’m an international theatre director, performer, and educator with over 25 years of experience in actor training, devised theatre, and ensemble-based performance. I’ve led large-scale teaching and production work, including serving as a former Chief Examiner for the International Baccalaureate Theatre Program and contributing to global curriculum review and teacher training.
At the International School of Geneva, I’ve grown the Theatre Department as Theatre Educator & Mentor (Years 7–13) and as Head of Department (Theatre). I teach acting, devising, and theatre studies, co-develop vertically aligned IB-style curriculum, and mentor senior students in creating independent solo performances (100+ original works developed), while integrating theatre practices across disciplines to support interdisciplinary learning and student wellbeing. Alongside teaching, I direct award-worthy productions and musical theatre, and I build inquiry-driven, critical thinking approaches through immersive, site-specific, and ensemble-driven work.
