What I'm looking for

I’m looking to apply my WTO and trade-policy expertise to support rigorous, data-driven research and policy advisory—helping governments or think tanks strengthen trade outcomes, negotiate effectively, and translate empirical findings into practical recommendations.

I’m a trade policy expert and economist with doctorate in Economics and over 5 years of experience in international trade analysis, WTO affairs, and export policy. I currently serve as a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for WTO Studies, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

In my role, I conduct economic research and trade data & policy analysis on the dynamics of foreign trade, supporting decision-making with evidence. I monitor critical minerals value chains, supply chain resilience, and global trade impacts, while preparing monthly trade press notes to flag export performance and import surges.

I also support multilateral and bilateral trade negotiations through data analysis, stakeholder coordination, and policy preparation. I’ve conducted analysis of India’s Free Trade Agreements to evaluate both potential and realized economic benefits, and I draft concept notes, technical inputs, and responses for parliamentary matters and the Economic Survey.

Earlier, as a Young Professional in the Department of Commerce, I supported export promotion through economic research and KPI-based trade monitoring, with inter-ministerial coordination to address trade issues. My PhD in International Trade, specializing in India-China bilateral trade (“A Study of India-China Trade since 1995”), anchors my empirical approach to trade policy and international cooperation.
