What I'm looking for

I seek student-centered roles where I can deliver bilingual literacy support, foster inclusive classrooms, contribute to community outreach, and grow as an educator through hands-on tutoring and program leadership.

I am a bilingual educator with hands-on experience tutoring elementary students in reading and supporting English learners by transferring literacy skills from Spanish to English. I focus on building confidence through positive, constructive feedback and creating accessible practice materials for home review.

My tutoring roles have ranged across programs and grade levels, including one-on-one support and classroom tutoring for students in 1st through 6th grade. I also served as a notetaker for an upper-level Spanish literature course, maintaining a digital notebook and producing lecture summaries to support a peer's academic success.

Outside of tutoring, I have led and taught STEM activities for youth at university outreach events, introduced children to scientific concepts through hands-on demonstrations, and contributed to community service projects such as food drives and cultural events that foster Spanish-speaking community engagement.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from California State University San Marcos with a 3.9 GPA, and I serve in leadership as Treasurer of Sigma Delta Pi. I seek opportunities where I can apply bilingual teaching, academic support, and community outreach skills to help learners thrive.
