Santi Capote

I’ve dedicated myself to the world of sound and music for over twenty-five years, balancing creative work with entrepreneurship and teaching. My focus is delivering mixes and masters that match both industry standards and the client’s artistic goals.

Since 2015, I’ve run my studio, The Punch Mastering&Mix, providing mixing and mastering services for Spanish and Latin American artists across Indie, techno, hip hop, trap, pop, orchestral, and soundtracks. I handle vocal and instrument editing, arrangement production, musical consulting, and adapt sound to commercial references while preparing vinyl masters and DDP files for CD production.

Before that, from 1999 to 2015, I worked as a member of the group Ellos—handling composition, production, mixing, and mastering—releasing five albums under Subterfuge and PIAS Spain. I also performed about 500 concerts across major festivals such as Primavera Sound and Benicàssim, and supported artists including Pet Shop Boys, Suede, and Dave Gahan.

I bring strong technical depth from my CES training (Higher Technician in Sound) and a teaching mindset developed through EUMES School (2018–2020), where I taught mixing and mastering, built lessons from the syllabus, and supported students with personal tutoring. I’m at my best when I can combine careful listening, clear communication, and hands-on production craft to elevate a project from tracking to final master.
