Sai Kumar

At Kshema General Insurance, I develop crop health reports and polygon-level spatial analyses for insurance claims. I use Google Earth Engine and Python to calculate NDVI, automate crop analysis, estimate plot-level losses, and support Pan-India land-use mapping.

Previously at NCML, I analyzed optical and SAR satellite data from ESA, NASA, and ISRO for acreage estimation and crop health monitoring. I generated vegetation indices including NDVI, NDWI, LAI, SAVI, and EVI, while scaling crop classification and plot-level identification using cadastral data.

I also contributed as a Soil Expert Consultant on the World Bank-supported National Soil Mapping System project for the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica.

My work combines remote sensing, GIS, data engineering, machine learning, forecasting, and spatial automation. I hold a Master of Engineering in Remote Sensing and GIS and have built Python-based AI models for stock-market forecasting, classification, and power-demand forecasting.
