Sahar Taneera

I recently completed my M.Sc. in Computer Engineering at Istanbul Medipol University, where I focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computer vision. I am now looking for a full-time remote role where I can bring my research experience into industry and continue growing as an AI/ML engineer.

My main interest is in building intelligent systems that solve meaningful real-world problems. During my master's research, I developed a VR-based assistive system for children with autism, combining AI, computer vision, human movement analysis, and conversational interaction. I also have research publications in AI and healthcare-related applications.

One of the things that defines how I work is my curiosity and willingness to learn. When I was first given a VR headset for my research, I had no previous experience with VR development. I researched the technology, learned what I needed, experimented with different approaches, and eventually built something that would not have been possible without the technology I initially knew nothing about. I genuinely enjoy this process of learning new methods, exploring ideas, solving difficult problems, and turning them into working solutions.

I have also worked as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant, including serving as a Head TA and coordinating other TAs. These experiences helped me develop strong communication, mentoring, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills. I am often the person others come to when they are unsure how to solve a problem because I am willing to investigate it and find a solution.

My strongest interests are Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Multimodal AI, Applied AI, and AI for healthcare. I am also open to learning new domains and working on challenging problems outside my previous research.

I am particularly interested in remote international opportunities where I can work with strong technical teams, learn from experienced engineers and researchers, take ownership of meaningful projects, and turn creative ideas into real products. I am currently based in Jordan and am looking for companies that can hire remotely from Jordan.

In the longer term, I am also interested in pursuing a PhD in AI, computer vision, multimodal systems, or human-centered AI.
