Safa Mammeri
@safamammeri
Detail-oriented legislative fellow with a focus on environmental policy.
What I'm looking for
I am a dedicated Legislative Fellow at the Adirondack Council, where I oversee research on land use permits and natural resource management plans. My analytical skills have been pivotal in assessing budget allocations for road salt management and informing policy proposals through data-driven insights. I take pride in my ability to compile complex information and draft policy memos that advocate for essential program funding.
Previously, as a Communications Coordinator at IFSSA, I developed and executed strategies to promote our mission while collaborating with Indigenous communities to support Native-owned businesses. My experience includes creating engaging digital content that highlights the intersectionality of mental health and cultural identity. I also facilitated events focused on food and water insecurity during my internship with Apathy is Boring, where I co-designed a cookbook and managed social media to amplify community voices.
