Russel Ilagan
@russelilagan
Frontend Developer who builds responsive, accessible mobile and web UI experiences.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Frontend Developer focused on turning product ideas into clean, responsive interfaces—especially for mobile experiences that feel intuitive and user-first. I’ve contributed 80–90% of the frontend on a youth-engagement mobile application for San Juan City, emphasizing seamless usability and modern framework best practices.
During my internship at the UP Resilience Institute, I co-spearheaded a mobile application typhoon track design overhaul for UP NOAH. I optimized UI/UX layouts to improve navigation, accessibility, and visual clarity for public users.
I also bring inclusive design thinking into my work through my “IncluMap” project. As a Full Stack Developer, I conducted user research to shape a highly accessible UI for diverse physical and digital requirements, and I simplified complex geographic data into a user-friendly, real-time usable format.
Beyond technical delivery, I lead with collaboration and accountability. As Alumni Division Head for the Alliance of Computer Science Students (UPLB), I spearheaded alumni engagement strategies, managed a committee of 7, and coordinated initiatives that supported mentorship, industry partnerships, and sponsorships.
