@romannimets
I build Node.js and TypeScript systems powering live connected devices and sports scoreboards.
What I'm looking for
At AGLA, I build LED information systems used across approximately 130 sports scoreboards, parking installations, and urban signage. I work end-to-end on a NestJS and gRPC microservice platform connecting Raspberry Pi devices, physical LED displays, and Angular configuration interfaces.
I've designed GPIO services with software PWM and SSE edge monitoring, implemented failover between redundant data sources for uninterrupted live broadcasts, and added dual serial protocol support for legacy ASCII and new binary devices. I also turn one-off installations into configurable product features, including signage playlists, a nested editor for non-technical users, and condition-driven layout switching across six transports.
Before AGLA, I developed Java and Spring Batch solutions for a banking client at Fides, migrating financial data from Xenomorph to Oracle during a legacy-system decommissioning. That work taught me to be rigorous with large datasets and data that cannot be lost.
I'm focused on Node.js and TypeScript development across backend and full-stack product work, especially real-time systems, connected devices, and reliable software that reaches the physical world.

Product team of 3 developers building LED information systems for sports venues, parking and urban signage.
I work end-to-end on our NestJS/gRPC microservice platform: from serial protocols and GPIO on Raspberry Pi devices up to the Angular interfaces that configure them. My software runs on ~130 sports scoreboards in the field.
Highlights: dual serial protocol support (legacy ASCII + new binary
Java and Spring Batch development for a banking client: migration of financial data from Xenomorph to Oracle as part of the decommissioning of a legacy system, along with Java utilities for processing large datasets.
