Mechanical engineering graduate advancing renewable energy and USV technology through hands-on R&D.
What I'm looking for
I’m a mechanical engineering graduate with a strong foundation in renewable energy systems and unmanned surface vessel (USV) technology. I’ve gained hands-on research and development experience through projects at the Solar and Renewable Energy Laboratory (LETS) and Andalas Naval Research and Development (ANRD).
During my internship at PT. Pertamina Hulu Rokan, I supported technicians, operators, and maintenance engineers with preventive maintenance planning and execution. I also analyzed the factors affecting bearing failure in centrifugal pumps using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), operating vibration meters and temperature meters, and helping maintain pump maintenance records.
As an Assistant of the Renewable and Solar Energy Laboratory at LETS, I manage experiments and ensure accurate measurements through detailed experimentation. I’ve collaborated with up to 30 laboratory assistants, handled lab equipment usage for final projects, and maintained and calibrated equipment to support optimal performance.
At ANRD, I’ve served as Team Leader in both the Fuel Engine Remote Control division and the Autonomous Tourism Surface Vessel (ATSV) manufacturing team. I coordinated research execution, oversaw task progress, supported USV trials, and helped manufacture USVs using composite materials—operating 3D printing and CNC laser cutting to assist production.
Experience
Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Lab Assistant (Renewable)
Solar and Renewable Energy Laboratory (LETS)
Oct 2022 - Present (3 years 9 months)
Assisted renewable and solar energy laboratory projects by preparing and running experiments using solar collectors, desalination units, and steam compression machines, ensuring accurate measurements. Coordinated laboratory assistant activities and maintained/calibrated equipment for optimal performance.
Team Leader - ANRD
Andalas Naval Research Development (ANRD)
May 2021 - Present (5 years 2 months)
Led mechanical and manufacturing team activities within ANRD, coordinating research progress through scheduling, resource allocation, and task execution oversight. Worked on unmanned surface vessel development including USV installation/maintenance trials and manufacturing using composite materials, 3D printing, and CNC laser cutting.
Mechanical Engineering Intern
PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan
Jan 2023 - Feb 2023 (1 month)
Supported preventive maintenance activities by coordinating with technicians, operators, and maintenance engineers, including repairing centrifugal pumps. Conducted FMEA-based analysis of bearing failure causes at a water treatment injection plant and operated vibration/temperature measurement tools while maintaining pump maintenance records.
