At Rutgers School of Health Professions, I’m pursuing an M.S. in Health Informatics, bringing a frontline clinical perspective from my work as a Certified Nursing Assistant and student phlebotomist.
On my medical question-answer data project, I fine-tuned DistilBERT to classify 16,400 MedQuAD entries into 16 question types with 96.07% accuracy. I also found that performance fell on patient-written questions, highlighting a risk for patient-facing clinical AI.
For a patient health analytics project, I merged and cleaned four datasets and built an OLS model explaining 97.1% of A1C variance from glucose and BMI. I also designed a normalized MySQL hospital management database and wrote SQL operations to report care and billing.
I’m co-authoring two healthcare research studies, including a PRISMA-guided review on computational approaches to multimorbidity phenotyping in Alzheimer’s disease and an analysis of CDC BRFSS 2024 survey data.
