Rafia Akmal

I’m an English Literature undergraduate with a Psychology minor, driven by trauma studies, narrative analysis, and creative writing. I build my work through research-driven writing and critical analysis, while staying attentive to ethical, psychological nuance.

Through my internship and volunteer experience, I’ve developed sensitivity to mental health support environments and patient interaction. In parallel, I strengthened administrative and organizational skills while coordinating records and communication at Bloomfield Hall Schools.

As a Content Writer for an educational consultancy, I wrote and edited personal statements, statements of purpose, and application essays for students applying to international universities. I collaborate closely with clients to understand their academic background, goals, and personal narratives, then transform those experiences into structured, impactful stories—backed by detailed revisions and clear feedback.

My creative work includes psychological realism, trauma narratives, literary fiction, and dark fantasy. I’ve also earned recognition through the Ink-it Competition (third prize), and I’m motivated to keep combining language, psychology, and storytelling to produce work that truly connects.
