What I'm looking for

I'm looking for meaningful, complex legal work where I can deepen my corporate, commercial, restructuring, and insolvency practice, tackle high-stakes problems, stay ahead of emerging legal developments, and continue growing as a lawyer.

At Malis & Khoo, I advise clients on legal and regulatory risk in commercial transactions, corporate restructuring, and compliance under the Companies Act 2016. I draft and negotiate corporate and commercial agreements, including shareholders’ agreements and sale and purchase agreements.

I represent clients across the Lower Courts, High Court, and Apex Courts, including in debt recovery, employment disputes, and corporate litigation. I have secured court orders involving the resignation, removal, and appointment of liquidators, receivers, and managers, and advise financial institutions on enforcing corporate charges, debentures, and security interests.

My earlier work at Bodipalar Ponnudurai De Silva built my grounding in shareholder and director disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency, contractual disputes, land ownership disputes, and court applications.

I also volunteered with UNHCR’s Protection Unit through the Malaysian Bar Council Legal Aid Program, supporting refugees with interviews, legal aid, and assistance within UNHCR’s remit. Outside practice, I contribute to the legal community as a mooting coach and training judge.
