I’m an Electrical Engineering B.Tech student (expected May 2026) building a strong foundation in substation design through hands-on, standards-driven work. In my Design Intern role at Barak and Brazos Engineering Pvt. Ltd., I developed understanding of primary and secondary substation design, including SLDs, equipment layouts, and protection schemes.
I supported North American utility projects by applying IEEE and ANSI standards, assisting with protection design philosophy for a 138 kV/12.47 kV distribution substation, and interpreting relay one-line diagrams for transformer, line, bus, feeder, and distance/overcurrent protection. I also gained operational exposure during an NTPC summer internship by working onsite on 11 kV/220 kV substations and protection systems, and I enjoy pairing engineering analysis with clear technical documentation.
