At Springer Nature, I oversee the journal manuscript pipeline from initial submission marked “Ready for editorial” through final decision. I perform quality checks and support editor assignment and peer review.
I assess handling editors’ decision recommendations and send final decisions to authors. I also monitor manuscript progress, support editors and editorial staff, and contribute ideas to improve the process and reduce turnaround time.
At the University of Pittsburgh, my PhD research examined how TERT protein induced by inflammatory and mechanical stress drives osteogenic gene transcription in calcific aortic valve disease. The work involved cell culture, PCR, western blots, and Alizarin Red assays.
My research experience also includes studying the inx-20 phenotype in C. elegans at State University of New York. Earlier, as a Data Operations Researcher at ZOCDOC, I verified practitioner profiles and conducted data audits to support accuracy on the patient platform.
