At Astron Endurance, I design high- and low-voltage tractive-system schematics for an electric vehicle using KiCad. I also work on HV wiring, connector selection, and harness planning.
On my EV Powertrain Simulator project, I developed a MATLAB/Simulink model integrating battery state-of-charge estimation, motor dynamics, regenerative braking, and vehicle dynamics. I implemented Coulomb-counting SOC estimation and am extending the simulation with a battery thermal model.
During my internship at SAIL Bokaro Steel Plant, I gained practical exposure to HT/LT power distribution, industrial substations, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, motors, and VFDs. I also studied protective relays and electrical testing procedures.
I designed an automatic solar-tracking system with dual LDR sensors, an Arduino Uno, and a servo motor; it demonstrated 35% higher energy capture than a fixed-panel setup. I also designed and fabricated a discrete-component temperature-sensing PCB, from schematic and component selection through layout and calibration.
