Phylicia Willis

I’m an experienced Registered Nurse with leadership skills in both the clinical and community setting. I work daily toward patient advocacy and fostering a positive atmosphere for the health and healing of my patients and for my team’s work environment.

In school nursing at Katy ISD (McMeans Junior High), I provided primary and preventative care for students and staff. I educated staff and students on CPR training and emergency medication administration, and supported conditions including diabetes, epilepsy, and anaphylaxis while completing state-mandated hearing, vision, spinal, and Ancanthosis Nigerians’ (AN) screenings with referrals as needed.

At Texas Children’s Hospital, I administered chemotherapy, biotherapy, and blood products through central and peripheral lines, and coordinated daily labs, infusions, transfusions, injections, admissions, and urgent patient care as Infusion Room Coordinator and Clinic Charge/Admissions nurse. I also precepted new graduate nurses, assisted with central line care and immunization administration, and prepared Botox and Dysport for physician administration for patients with spasticity and tone issues; earlier, at Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Center, I supported sedation-prep, PALS/ACLS-informed recovery monitoring, and discharge teaching after anesthesia.
