Paula Cortes

I began teaching as a child in a family of educators, developing a lifelong commitment to learning and instruction.

As a crisis interventionist currently at L’Éclaircie and a language instructor for government programs, I manage crisis situations, assess suicide and homicide risk, and design supportive strategies while also planning and presenting engaging language lessons.

I have worked with children, older adults, small groups and large groups across Sherbrooke, Ontario and Colombia, leading classroom activities, small-group sessions and language immersion activities that improve oral skills and cultural understanding.

I am organized, adaptable and community-focused, with ongoing studies in psychology and social work to strengthen my practice, and I seek roles that let me combine education and mental-health support to make measurable impact.
