I’m a results-driven Reliability and Mechanical Engineer with 4+ years of progressive experience in heavy mobile equipment (HME) maintenance, reliability engineering, and maintenance planning across production-driven mining operations. I built my career “from the tools up,” starting as a Heavy Duty Mechanic and Rebuilder, then advancing into reliability and planning—so I understand failures from engineering principles and real workshop pressure.

In my current role as a Reliability Engineer at Rabotec Group, I designed and implemented RCM strategies across the HME fleet, delivering a 25% reduction in unscheduled machine downtime and measurable improvements in operational efficiency. I execute detailed FMEA studies to identify critical failure modes, apply targeted corrective and predictive actions, and use condition monitoring (including oil sample analysis) to optimize component replacement intervals and extend component life.

I’m also strong at turning technical findings into executable field actions—partnering with operations and engineering teams to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and producing downtime analyses, RCA findings, and reliability improvement recommendations for management review. I’ve even built practical enablers like a bespoke tool inventory and monitoring software to accelerate breakdown response and reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).

Before this, as a Maintenance Planner/Assistant Maintenance Planner at Rabotec Group, I coordinated daily and weekly maintenance schedules across the fleet, achieving 90% work order compliance, and contributed to a 30% reduction in unscheduled breakdowns through a stronger preventive maintenance culture. Earlier, in National Service and at BCM International, I led and supported major component rebuilds and high-volume preventive/corrective maintenance—diagnosing faults with CAT ET tools and applying contamination control to reduce premature component failure rates.
