@ovishakesen
Electrical and Computer Engineering Ph.D. candidate at the University of Florida building LUT-based neural accelerators for edge AI.
What I'm looking for
At the University of Florida’s WISE Lab, I developed LANA, a PyTorch-based Look-Up Table accelerator designed to replace arithmetic-heavy neural operations with table-based computation for energy-efficient edge inference. I also implemented LUNA for accelerator-aware evaluation and compute-in-memory design exploration.
I built and deployed a neural-signal handwriting recognition system on NVIDIA Jetson TX2, combining EEG preprocessing, machine-learning inference, and embedded execution. This work was published in Scientific Reports as research on low-latency edge-device inference.
My research also explores low-precision inference and reliability, including FP4/NVFP4, FP8, FP16, and INT8 formats, selective protection, and ECC. I previously taught Image Processing, Embedded Systems, and Digital Logic Design at Southeast University.
Experience
Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Developed real-time EEG inference pipelines for handwritten character recognition and deployed neural-signal handwriting recognition on NVIDIA Jetson TX2. Designed LUT-based approximate neural accelerators and conducted reliability-aware AI research.
