What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an entry-level laboratory assistant role where I can apply lab safety and quality control, support sample collection and analysis, keep equipment ready, and manage inventory—while growing my phlebotomy skills.

I’m a laboratory assistant trained through a Certificate in applied laboratory science, with a strong focus on “principles and practices of laboratory safety and quality control protocols.” I aim to deliver accurate, reliable test results through careful, consistent lab work.

I’m experienced in “operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment including microscopes, spectrophotometers, and centrifuges.” I also apply “data analysis and interpretation skills” alongside techniques in “sample collection, preparation, analysis, and preservation,” supporting clinical decision-making and research outcomes.

In my May 2024–Jul 2024 role at Naledi Senior Secondary School, I helped “prepare and maintain laboratory equipment,” conducted supervised sample collection and analysis, and kept the lab “cleanliness and organization… to uphold hygiene standards.” I also monitored “inventory levels of laboratory reagents and materials,” and collaborated with senior staff to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
