I’m a results-focused finance professional with 8+ years of progressive experience as a Senior Accountant, providing management with financial information through research, analyzing accounts, and preparing financial statements. I bring a strong commitment to continuous improvement, new challenges, and a drive for excellence.

In my current role as Assistant Chief Accountant [Procurement], I undertake procurement planning with support of committees, finance, and user departments. I review invoices and purchase orders for accuracy and completeness, ensure procurement activities align with the procurement budget, and match purchase orders, goods received notes (GRNs), and supplier invoices.

I ensure payments are made accurately and on time, and I resolve discrepancies between POs, invoices, and deliveries while maintaining proper documentation for all procurement transactions. Previously, as Principal Accountant, I reconciled balance sheets, streamlined best practices, ensured statutory payment records for audit purposes, and supported month-end by verifying postings and fair representation of financial information.

I also strengthened bank reconciliation to clear variance over 200,000 for the 2018–2019 calendar years. Before my accounting career, I worked as a secondary school teacher—setting class objectives and monitoring daily performance—and now I’m building on that same energy in my professional certifications and memberships (ICAN Qualified and ACCA Fellow/FCCA), with additional procurement and procurement-management training.
