What I'm looking for

I’m looking to collaborate with creative teams and cultural brands—bringing cinematic, African identity-led visuals to brand identity, editorial, and motion-focused projects, with concept-to-execution discipline and an engineer’s eye for structured detail.

I’m a Graphic designer working under the name MJK Studio, where my design language is cinematic, culturally grounded, and rooted in African identity and storytelling. My work focuses on narrative clarity—using imagery, typography, and composition to make ideas feel lived-in, not just seen.

I bring a rare technical discipline from my Electrical and Electronics Engineering background—precision, systems thinking, and an engineer’s eye for structure. That translates into disciplined visual structure and careful concept-to-execution projects, from research and mood boards to final delivery.

I build brand & visual identity work and editorial/poster series with a strong cultural and narrative-led approach. From a portrait-driven Afrobeat tribute to a documentary-style historical identity project, I aim for designs that carry emotion, context, and cultural voice through restrained color and deliberate pacing.

Alongside studio-led practice, I’ve worked as an MEP Design & Site Engineer (NYSC), designing Lighting, ELV, Fire Alarm, and Power Distribution systems and applying the same attention to layout, hierarchy, and accuracy. I also explore motion and video editing through kinetic poster studies, glitch aesthetics, and compositing—supported by tools like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CapCut, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
