Noelene Jones

I’m an accomplished Financial Controller with over 15 years of experience across hospitality and corporate environments. I’ve built finance capability from the ground up—establishing finance departments, supplier networks, and controls that support reliable reporting and fast decision-making.

In my current role as Financial Controller (F&B Divisions) at The Venue Food and Beverage, I spearheaded the inception of F&B finance departments and oversee multi-entity operations for Houghton Hotel and African Pride Melrose Arch. I report directly to the CFO, authorize daily transactions, and manage income reconciliations across all revenue streams.

I’m known for strengthening audit outcomes and handling risk proactively. I manage investigations into discrepancies and possible fraud and take accountability for external audit reporting, including SARS submissions and internal/external audit reporting requirements.

Previously, as Financial Controller at Jones Style Events, I developed financial plans, forecasts, and annual budgets, while running full-function accounting through trial balance and monthly management accounts. Earlier, as General Manager (Corporate Stores) at Vida e Caffe – Standard Bank H/O, I led high-volume procurement and stock takes, and I also managed HR and payroll functions including UIF and Workman’s Compensation.
