As a Virtual Medical Scribe, I completed simulated training in processing patient referrals, verifying demographics, and checking insurance eligibility. I also practiced updating patient information in mock EMR systems, including Practice Fusion and Epic basics.

I reviewed clinical notes to extract information for specialist referrals and practiced tracking referral statuses and following up on pending authorizations. I followed HIPAA guidelines during documentation and communication tasks.

I'm building foundational knowledge in medical terminology, SOAP notes, EHR workflows, and patient confidentiality. I hold a HIPAA Basics Certification from Stampwell and am available for full-time remote work, including overnight shifts aligned with U.S. time zones.
