I am a seasoned life insurance and reinsurance professional with over 10 years' experience across the full risk value chain, specializing in direct underwriting, treaty administration and portfolio management. I currently serve as Technical Manager (Underwriting & Treaty) at East Africa Re, where I lead treaty analysis, retrocession management and complex claims oversight.

My strengths include medical risk assessment for individual and group lives, mortality/morbidity analysis, and close collaboration with actuarial and finance teams to produce IFRS/GAAP reporting and regulatory filings. I lead departmental technical systems as the DXC SICS lead and leverage Power BI, DOMO and advanced Excel for reporting and data integrity.

I have a proven track record in driving portfolio growth through pricing proposals, renewal quotations and business development, while maintaining robust credit control and SOA settlement processes. I am experienced in KYC/AML compliance, audit preparation and internal control systems to ensure regulatory alignment.

I am committed to strategic leadership, mentoring teams, and presenting clear Board-level reporting on portfolio performance, risk accumulations and treaty outcomes. I pursue continuous professional development, currently working toward my ACII and recently participating in the AIO Leadership Program.
