Mitalikumari Patel

I’m a Business Intelligence and Data Analytics graduate student with hands-on experience building KPI dashboards, cleaning data, and delivering insights through visualization and reporting. I’m currently pursuing an MSc in Data Science at Heriot-Watt University Dubai, and I’m available for immediate joining.

In my Research Intern role, I developed a deep learning-based sleep apnea detection system using ECG data, reaching 96.1% accuracy and ROC-AUC of 0.96. I preprocessed signals (extracting RR intervals and normalizing data) and evaluated models using precision, recall, and F1-score to improve classification performance.

I also bring dashboard and product-oriented skills from projects and internships—building interactive Power BI dashboards, analyzing multi-source datasets, and developing an ML workflow with models like Logistic Regression, KNN, XGBoost, and a 3D-CNN. I want to grow in Business Intelligence and Data Analyst roles where I can translate real-world data into clear, actionable decision support.
