Miriam Zakari

I’m an Accounting and Administrative Professional with over three years of hands-on experience in financial record-keeping, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, vendor management, and day-to-day office administration. I’m currently completing the ICAN Final Level examinations and pursuing a Master’s degree in Forensic Accounting at the Nigerian Defence Academy.

In my accounting work, I prepare payment vouchers, invoices, and expense documentation; code and post transactions into accounting records; and process daily journal entries while keeping files audit-ready. I take ownership of accounts payable follow-ups and petty cash disbursements, ensuring approvals are verified and irregularities are flagged early.

I’m also experienced in supporting audit processes and month-end close activities—verifying completeness of records, resolving discrepancies through bank reconciliations, and contributing to weekly and monthly financial reporting submitted to management for decision-making. I’m known for meeting deadlines, working with minimal supervision, and staying detail-precise in high-volume environments.

Beyond traditional finance tasks, I’ve supported data collection and reporting with strong confidentiality and accuracy—planning daily household visit schedules through CommCare, collecting maternal and child health data, and submitting records digitally in real time using ODK Collect. I bring the same disciplined approach to data integrity, scheduling, and record organization wherever I’m assigned.
