Led development of the Asset module, designing an AWS architecture using CloudFront and Lambda to validate requests before reaching storage and enable secure, stable asset URLs without exposing pre-signed URLs. Designed and optimized a centralized Apache Solr search architecture, improving indexing and query flows and significantly enhancing search performance across multiple areas of the platform

Designed and implemented inline, real-time validation for Excel uploads, moving validation into the upload flow and providing immediate feedback before invalid data entered downstream processing. Improved the Excel processing pipeline by designing validation logic that handled complex input scenarios while keeping the upload experience responsive and reliable.

Re-engineered the vessel-data synchronization architecture, migrating workloads from Azure Data Factory to application-level background services to reduce infrastructure costs and gain greater control over processing.
