At Tanzania Food and Drug Authority East Zone, I took part in food premise inspections, data entry, new premise registration, and inspections of food and food additives at the port of entry.
During my field practical at Mbeya spring drinking water, I gained experience in water and wastewater treatment, laboratory work, and quality control of packaging materials. My work included operating filling, labeling, and packaging machines, and microbiology testing of raw water and finished products.
I studied Food Science and Technology at Mbeya University of Science and Technology and continued my studies there while conducting research and expanding my knowledge in food science courses.
