I’m looking for a backend role in fintech where I can own high-impact transaction and API systems end-to-end—building reliability via observability, correctness-focused workflows, and continuous modernization with a strong engineering culture.

I’m a Senior Backend Engineer with 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years building financial transaction systems. I focus on remittance, payouts, partner integrations, rates, rewards, and production support—where API design, transaction correctness, observability, and reliability are central to delivery.

At Careem, I’ve owned backend services that process up to USD 200M in monthly GTV, including integration ownership (e.g., Lulu integration service), validation-flow optimization, and end-to-end rate enablement as new providers. I modernized Java/Spring services from Java 11/13 and Spring Boot 2.x to Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x, applying Project Reactor/WebFlux practices, expanding tests, and reducing technical debt—while improving incident response through distributed tracing, dashboards, and L3/on-call resolution.
