What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a remote, flexible non-profit role where I can craft trauma-informed digital stories, manage social media and content strategy, and turn research into clear messaging that advances women’s rights and human rights for marginalized communities.

I’m a remote, non-profit communications professional focused on women’s rights, human rights, and storytelling. I turn complex research into clear, cross-cultural digital content that supports marginalized communities, with a strong commitment to respectful, survivor-centric communication. I also enjoy collaborating across different cultures and global time zones, bringing consistency and care to every message I create.

In my advocacy & comms roles, I’ve managed writing and storytelling across social platforms, using strategy to reach a global audience. At Sahiyo, I created educational posts, content calendars, storytelling graphics, and online campaigns to end Female Genital Cutting (FGC), including writing for Women’s History Month and maintaining trauma-informed messaging with extreme care. As a Writer Intern at Women’s Adventure Travels, I researched and wrote articles on international public health and leadership, and produced feature stories about how global events impacted women in Africa and highlighted women breaking barriers in male-dominated industries.

Beyond communications, I bring real-world advocacy experience through sensitive, cross-cultural case support. As a Resettlement Caseworker, I managed a busy caseload of 60+ long-term refugee clients, helping them navigate complex systems using supportive, trauma-informed communication and keeping digital case files organized and accurate. As an Afghan Program Assistant, I supported rapid resettlement efforts, coordinated essential needs during a high-pressure humanitarian crisis, served as a primary liaison with culturally sensitive and gender-aware support, and handled time-sensitive documentation and federal reporting requirements.
