I’m a Microsoft-certified Database Administrator with 10+ years administering, migrating, and performance-tuning mission-critical estates across the full SQL Server lifecycle (SQL Server 2000 through 2022 and 2025) and the complete Azure SQL family.
Right now as Manager – Projects (Database) at Cognizant, I lead end-to-end Azure SQL PaaS database delivery for the WITS Online platform, own performance tuning using Query Store/Automatic Tuning/Database Watcher, and set HA/DR strategy with clear RPO/RTO targets using Azure auto-failover groups and active geo-replication.
I’ve also led global SQL Server Security and cloud migration programs—standardizing patching and vulnerability remediation with PowerShell (SqlServer module and dbatools), moving on-prem to Azure SQL Managed Instance via Lift & Shift and DMS, and executing complex HA/DR configurations and failover testing. I bring that same delivery mindset from earlier roles where I administered production SQL Server estates with Always On/FCI/log shipping/mirroring, built automation for maintenance and health checks, and tuned storage/engine/query performance—earning multiple innovation and delivery-excellence awards, including a Global Top Innovator Award for $102K annual hard-dollar savings.
