Max Shearer

AFEW is a small digital studio based in London serving up web sites and apps to medium-to-large enterprises. I co-founded AFEW with one other in 2016 and have been serving primarily as the creative director as well as dipping in to both front and back end development roles.

Tradegraft is a platform I co-founded with three others using digital technology to enable those in the construction industry to join up skills, jobs and training opportunities as quickly and easily as possible.

My role at Tradegraft is to lead the product design and back end software engineering of the platform.

I joined Tui as a designer and developer working to bridge the gap between their product design and web development teams. Here I was lucky enough to work for clients like the BBC, BP, American Express and more.

Following an internship at 2Cs earlier in 2006, I was offered a full time role as a web developer before heading to university at the end of 2007.

I was hired initially at Branded3 as a graduate web developer after completing a Bachelors degree at Leeds Metropolitan (now Leeds Beckett) University. I eventually began to work in various design roles as well during my tenure.
