Maureen Ogure

I’m an audit professional currently at KPMG Nigeria, focused on delivering high-quality external audits in line with relevant accounting and auditing standards, including IFRS and ISA’s. I take pride in obtaining sufficient and appropriate audit evidence that supports the audit opinion.

In my role, I concisely document the results of audit work in accordance with international standards and the KPMG audit methodology, using applicable IT systems and tools such as eAudit and Microsoft Excel. I also help organize risk assessment and planning discussions with team members to keep engagements efficient and audit-ready.

Before KPMG, I built a foundation through an Industrial Trainee role at Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC), where I accessed job specifications, supported safe operations with appropriate work permits, and monitored performance of working process equipment. I also completed NYSC at the University of Benin, where I handled document filing, prepared and distributed memos, and supported department communication and visitor/student coordination.

I hold a B.Eng in Chemical Engineering (Second Class Honours, Upper Division) and I’m pursuing ACCA in progress. My professional ethos is rooted in a strong desire to learn, honesty, and effective teamwork—bringing clear communication and dependable execution to every engagement.
