Matt Freed
@mattfreed
I deliver DBT-informed therapy for individuals, couples, families, and complex clinical needs.
What I'm looking for
I've delivered individual, couple, and family therapy at Ann Arbor Behavioral Services, supporting diverse clients including geriatric and adolescent populations.
At the DBT Institute of Michigan, I provided high-fidelity DBT for people experiencing emotion dysregulation, chronic suicidality, and intensive clinical needs. I also designed and facilitated DBT groups and psychoeducational classes.
My work includes diagnostic assessments, individualized treatment planning, crisis intervention, phone coaching, risk assessment, and compliant clinical documentation. I value peer consultation and ongoing clinical learning to strengthen treatment delivery.
During an international sabbatical, I developed cross-cultural perspective through travel in Europe and Asia and immersive study of mindfulness and self-development with spiritual teachers. I'm returning prepared to bring compassionate, evidence-based care to clinical practice.
