I've guided Safe Foods Corporation from helping negotiate the patent license for its first product through its 2021 acquisition by a Blackstone company, serving as Safe Foods’ principal legal advisor for 22 years.
I designed around a competitor's patent and assembled the defense team when litigation threatened to disrupt the sale of the company. The design around work withstood due diligence by the acquisition legal team, and the sale closed successfully. The district court ruled for Safe Foods at claim construction, and the Federal Circuit affirmed in full.
