Marina Woods

As Vice-President of the University’s largest charitable society, I helped raise over £5000 for partner charities in the 2023-24 academic year. I also manage digital communications, marketing fundraising efforts and growing our social media following.

I publish biweekly articles for the Arts and Culture sections of Varsity magazine, focusing on demystifying the intricacies of the EU withdrawal agreement for students. I adhere to deadlines and pitch story ideas to the editorial team.

As Head of Design for the annual Trinity Hall June Event, I managed a six-figure budget and a team of 30, negotiating sustainable decor in line with the University’s environmental accreditation scheme.

I participated in an outreach program to reconnect with College alumni, encouraging donations to the Trinity Hall Fund. I raised over £35,000 personally, contributing to a total of over £200,000 raised.

I collaborated with the Union Full Committee to organize speaker events during Lent term, assisting in the management of high-profile panel events while maintaining the organizational reputation.

I researched the Women’s Royal Naval Service (WRNS) during WWII and was credited in the documentary series ‘Wargamers’ for the Sky HISTORY TV channel.

Achieved 9 GCSEs with grades ranging from 9 to 7, including top marks in Mathematics and English Language.
