Marco Kerbeg

I’m a finance professional with 19+ years in banking and government audit, combining a PhD in Economics with hands-on financial modeling, forecasting, and internal controls. I currently work as an Auditor of Finance and Control with the Office of the Comptroller General (CGU), using risk-based methodology and control testing to strengthen governance and accountability.

I bring strong FP&A execution—forecasting, budgeting, and cash-flow and balance-sheet projection—supported by data analytics in Python and advanced Excel. I build consolidated data models and analytical workpapers to evaluate compliance, financial flows, and program performance, then translate findings into technical reports that support recovery of public funds.

Before my current role, I spent 19 years at Banco do Brasil in banking operations, credit analysis, financial products, and customer portfolio management. I’ve authored 3 international peer-reviewed publications and I’m now seeking remote FP&A, accounting, or audit opportunities where my blend of finance + controls delivers reliable, US GAAP-aligned reporting for US companies.
