Mandlakazi Mthana

I am a self-motivated and ambitious creative designer with 8 years of experience in desktop publishing and graphic design. In my previous role at Hirt and Carter Pty Ltd, I was responsible for creating and adjusting POS artwork, print media, and packaging design. I have a strong attention to detail and a good eye for typography and layout, which has allowed me to enhance visual communication and create artwork to company standards. I have worked with big brands such as H&M, Forever New, Levi's, Woolworths, TFG, Pick n Pay, Shoprit Checkers and Truworths, and have developed proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with clients.

In my role as a graphic designer at Farbe Designs Pty Ltd, I was responsible for creating, adjusting, and setting up artwork for printing, embroidery, and vinyl cutting purposes. I also handled logo design, artwork presentations, and artwork placement on clothing panels. I have a creative flair and a strong ability to follow client briefs and brand identity. I have worked with clients such as Hakiesdraad Clothing, Maties Clothing, and Steinhoff.

I have completed a Higher Certificate in Graphic Design from the University of Cape Town(2017) and a Level2 Certificate in Fashion Design from Elizabeth Galloway Academy of Fashion Design(2011). I have a strong understanding of user research, flow diagrams, navigation, interaction design, and prototyping. I have also gained experience in visual communication, layout and composition, idea generation and research, and designing for print. I have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, which have allowed me to effectively liaise with clients, suppliers, printers, and embroiderers.
