At German University in Cairo, I developed wideband multimode bandpass filters using cylindrical cavities and introduced the Biconical Cavity as a novel multimode resonator. My doctoral research explored its potential for greater bandwidth, improved rejection bands, and mode separation.
I modeled cavity structures in SolidWorks and assembled aluminum prototypes, then characterized them in the lab using a vector network analyzer. I also designed and realized a 3D-printed waveguide antenna array during my master’s research, measuring its performance in an anechoic chamber.
Alongside my research, I developed an advanced senior-year RF communication lab and taught engineering topics ranging from electromagnetics to digital communications. My work has been recognized with the Mojgan Daneshmand Award and conference awards for research presentations and papers.
