At HumanaHealth Care Inc., I led the EDI platform, supporting the accurate, compliant, and timely processing of transactions across multiple trading partners. I also handled application and EDI modifications, with much of the corrective and enhancement work focused on financial modules.
I executed the conversion of healthcare EDI transactions from X12 4010 to X12 5010, updating mappings and transaction logic to maintain HIPAA compliance. I was also responsible for the IBM i/AS400 portion of annual disaster recovery exercises.
At Wal-Mart Puerto RicoInc., I led the migration of Supermercados Amigo AS/400 applications into Wal-Mart’s mainframe environment. I developed a client/server application that extracted mainframe data to a local server, reducing query wait times for local users by 78%.
At Supermercados Amigo, Inc., I founded the company’s first Information System department and headed its programming division. My work included major modifications to the Accutech accounting system and contributing to business rules for item and general ledger account numbers.
